The Art of Hospitality
It is food for the (French) soul -- both good food and good people. Having become very tired of local bistros that are a pretentious bad value or else have a "hash house" hospitality that maximizes short term profit by treating guests as furniture, Demare is a very pleasant surprise.

Neighborhood Feel
It's not typical to find a French restaurant that is as warm and inviting as Bandol Bistro. The service isn't great, but the food is, and the manager is very nice. She makes me feel like I'm in my relatives home. Pricing is on the expensive side, but certainly not as bad as some other French bistros in the city.

Snooty Service
The wine is somewhat impressive at Bandol; however, the snooty service is rather a turn off.
